What is a cryogenic transport trailer?

A vacuum-insulated road trailer that moves liquefied product — LIN, LOX, LAR, LNG — over the road, sometimes with an onboard pump so it can both deliver and pressurize on site.

What should I check on a used cryogenic transport?

Inspection and certification status and when the next one falls due, the vacuum condition of the vessel, and the product it last carried. Then the chassis, running gear and brakes, the pump and piping if fitted, and the relief devices. Frost patterns on the outer jacket in service are a sign of vacuum loss.

What paperwork should come with it?

The vessel data plate and markings, inspection and test records, the trailer title and chassis documentation, and prior product history. As with any cryogenic vessel, changing product service can require documented cleaning and recertification.
