Questions buyers ask

What pressure, flow and temperature is it rated for?

This valve is rated ANSI Class 150, which corresponds to a maximum working pressure that varies by material and temperature per ASME B16.34. The listing does not specify the body material, size, or temperature rating for this unit, so contact the seller for the nameplate data and dimensional drawings to determine exact pressure-temperature limits and flow coefficient (Cv). ANSI Class 150 valves are typically rated for pressures ranging from 285 psig at -20°F to 20°F down to 150 psig at 400°F for carbon steel bodies, with lower ratings at higher temperatures.

What should I inspect before putting it into service?

The seller states this unit must be recertified before use. At minimum, perform a hydrostatic shell test and seat leakage test per API 598 or MSS SP-61 at pressures appropriate for the valve's rating, inspect all sealing surfaces for scoring or corrosion, verify stem travel and packing integrity, and replace all elastomers if service history is unknown. If intended for oxygen or other hazardous service, disassemble completely to inspect internal wetted surfaces and perform required cleaning and material verification before pressure testing.
