Questions buyers ask
What certification or inspection status does it carry?
This separator was built in 1997 to ASME code and carries National Board registration #33385. The listing does not indicate whether current certification, hydrostatic testing, or any recent inspections have been performed since it was removed from service.
What should I inspect before putting it into service?
Pressure vessels operated at 2460 psig require careful internal inspection for corrosion, pitting, and weld integrity, particularly at nozzle attachments and the shell-to-head junctions. Filter separators typically accumulate contamination and scale on internal mist eliminators and coalescing elements, which should be removed and inspected or replaced. Before any re-rating or re-stamping, a qualified inspector should perform thickness measurements and hydrostatic testing to confirm the vessel still meets code for your intended service conditions and fluid compatibility.
