Questions buyers ask
What pressure, flow and temperature is it rated for?
This unit is rated for 400 psig maximum working pressure with a flow coefficient ranging from 8.5 to 23.3 Cv depending on valve position. Temperature rating is not specified in the listing; ask the seller for the temperature limits of the cast ductile body and trim materials.
What materials are the wetted parts?
The body is cast ductile iron with 1.5" linear trim, but the listing does not specify the trim material or seat material. On Kimray 212 series valves, trim is typically 316 stainless steel, but ask the seller to confirm the exact trim metallurgy and seat material for compatibility with your process fluid.
What should I inspect before putting it into service?
Verify the seat and trim for wear, scoring, or corrosion, and confirm Class VI shutoff performance with a leak test at rated pressure. Check the actuator diaphragm for cracks or deterioration, test the spring response across the 10-35 psig control range, and inspect all NPT threads for damage. Since previous service history is not detailed, consider disassembling the valve to inspect internal components if it will handle corrosive or critical service.
