Description

Hydro-Pac helium storage system with eight manifolded tanks: four rated at 15,000 PSIG and four rated at 3,000 PSIG. The skid measures 130" L x 36" W x 72" H and weighs approximately 8,000 lbs. All connections and gauges are included. Offered as-is with recertification support available. Technical Specifications: Number of Tanks: 8 total (4 @ 15,000 PSI, 4 @ 3,000 PSI) Design Pressure: 15,000 PSIG & 3,000 PSIG Estimated Weight: 8,000 lbs Dimensions: 130” L x 36” W x 72” H Condition: Pre-owned, offered as-is (recertification support available) System Features: • High-pressure manifolded tank set for helium storage • Includes all connections and gauges • Suitable for helium and other inert gas storage and distribution • Compact skid footprint for easy placement This helium tank skid is well-suited for industrial gas distribution, research facilities, aerospace, leak detection, and high-pressure helium recovery projects.

Questions buyers ask

What is the MAWP and capacity at service pressure?

The system includes four tanks rated at 15,000 PSIG and four at 3,000 PSIG, but individual tank water capacity and total gas storage volume are not provided. For helium storage systems like this, you need to know the water volume (gallons or liters) of each tank to calculate usable gas capacity in SCF at your operating pressure. Request nameplate data showing water capacity and MAWP for each vessel to properly size this for your application.

What is the requalification or inspection status?

The listing states the system is offered as-is with recertification support available, but does not provide hydrostatic test dates, remaining service life, or current certification status. ASME vessels typically require periodic inspection per the National Board Inspection Code, while DOT cylinders must be retested at intervals ranging from 3 to 10 years depending on cylinder type. Ask for the most recent hydro dates and inspection records to determine whether immediate requalification is needed.

What should I inspect before putting it into service?

Verify all nameplate data is legible, check for visible corrosion or mechanical damage on tanks and welds, and confirm manifold valves and connections operate freely without leaks. Helium systems often show stress at high-pressure fittings and gauge ports, so examine these areas closely and pressure-test the entire manifold assembly. Given the as-is condition, plan for a complete inspection by an authorized inspector and hydrostatic retest before loading gas, especially if service history or most recent test dates are unknown.
