Questions buyers ask
What capacity and product purity does it produce?
This is a motor starter panel, not a production unit—it provides electrical control and power distribution for two motors up to 50HP each. The panel is rated to handle 162.4 amps full load draw at 480 VAC three-phase with a 250 amp disconnect. It does not produce or process any product.
What utilities, footprint and power draw does it require?
The panel requires 480 VAC three-phase service and draws 162.4 amps at full load, with the largest motor drawing 65 amps. The listing does not specify physical dimensions or weight for the starter panel itself (the included Hevi-Duty transformer alone weighs approximately 130 lbs). Ask the seller for overall enclosure dimensions and total weight if rigging or shipping constraints matter.
How long was it in service, how long has it been down, and how was it preserved?
The panel was manufactured in October 2014, but the listing provides no information on service history, decommission date, or storage conditions. Ask the seller for runtime history, why it was removed from service, and how it has been stored since removal.
What is realistically involved in relocating and re-erecting it?
This is a self-contained control panel requiring disconnection from supply and motor leads, removal, transport, and reconnection at the new site. The UL Type 3R enclosure is rated for outdoor installation and suitable for Class I, Div. 2 hazardous locations when installed per NEC requirements; verify that your application and local AHJ interpretation align with the panel's 65kA SCCR rating and provided electrical diagrams (816-507 SHT1 through SHT5). Startup will require verification of all connections, breaker settings, and motor overload sizing for your specific motor loads.
