Description
This is a Greenfield B65/CC CNG compressor skid, purchased new in 2012 for $123,000 and never put into service. It was originally configured for trailer-mounting to provide mobile CNG fueling at sites with at least 15 PSIG inlet pressure, capable of filling trucks and tube trailers. The unit was built to operate with either a 75 HP Class I, Div. 2 electric motor or a PG-08 Integrated Engine Control System with GM 5.7L gas engine; the customer selected the gas-driven option, and the brand new GM 5.7L engine with all controls is available for an additional $10,000.
This system was originally intended to be trailer-mounted for a mobile CNG fueling solution, allowing fueling of trucks and tube trailers at any location with at least 15 PSIG inlet pressure. All components (except two CNG hoses) are included, along with complete schematics for easy deployment.

Compressor Package Specifications:
Captive receiver (blowdown), suction filter assembly, interstage separators, suction solenoid shutoff, manual receiver/compressor isolation valve, discharge check valve, crankcase heater with thermostat, separator purge at shutdown, coalescing discharge filter, skid-mounted frame with complete interconnections. The Greenfield B65/CC features air-cooled cylinders and crankcase, trunk piston design, a combination force-feed/splash lubrication system, pressurized crankcase with mechanical shaft seals, concentric combined suction and discharge valve arrangement, and an integral crankcase-driven fan for cooler/aftercooler. Rated for 4,500 PSIG with a compact footprint to minimize required space.
Optional Gas Engine Package:
Includes a GM 5.7L gas engine with PG-08 Integrated Engine Control System that meets EPA 2008 stationary emission standards for rich-burn natural gas (40 CFR Part 60) with an approved three-way catalyst. Performance is certified for 8,000-hour deteriorated emissions compliance (NMHC ≤ 1.0 g/hp-hr, CO ≤ 4.0 g/hp-hr, NOx ≤ 2.0 g/hp-hr). R600S regulator and CA225 mixer include CARB-approved tamper-resistant features.
Remote System Control:
PLC control and monitoring provide power on indication, compressor run status, total hours operated, high/low inlet pressure monitoring, low oil pressure protection, high final stage discharge temperature shutdown, high discharge pressure switch, and fault indication.
Included Kraus Global 2-Hose Dispenser:
Rated to 3,600 PSIG with a display for gallons dispensed and total price. This dispenser does not include credit card processing, but options are available if needed. Originally purchased new for $21,000 and included in the advertised price.

What capacity and discharge pressure does it actually deliver?
This unit is rated for 120 SCFM at 15 PSIG inlet to 4,500 PSIG discharge. The five-stage reciprocating design requires a minimum inlet pressure of 15 PSIG, so if your source pressure is lower you'll need a booster or this compressor will not meet its nameplate capacity. CNG compressors in this pressure range typically derate 8-12% when inlet pressure drops below the minimum design point.
What drive, power and cooling does it require?
The skid was built to accept either a 75 HP Class I, Div. 2 electric motor or a GM 5.7L natural gas engine with PG-08 controls; the customer selected the gas engine option, and that engine is available with the unit. Cooling is air-cooled throughout—cylinders, crankcase, and an integral crankcase-driven fan for the cooler/aftercooler—so no water supply is required. What should I inspect on a used compressor before buying?
Even though this unit is new and unrun, verify the condition of all elastomers, seals, and hoses after twelve years in storage—rubber components age whether run or not. Inspect the crankcase for any signs of condensation or corrosion, check that valves move freely, and confirm the PLC powers up and all sensors respond. On reciprocating CNG compressors generally, also inspect interstage separator drains, verify PRV test dates (ASME code typically requires five-year recertification), check for oil contamination in interstage piping, and if the unit has hours, pull valve caps and inspect valve seats and springs for wear or carbon buildup.

Inspection
Pre-purchase inspections are welcome during normal business hours by appointment arranged in advance. We can provide complimentary transportation from DFW Airport and back if you would like to send someone to see the equipment in person. We can also walk through the item over a video call for domestic or international buyers. We are on US Central Time.
Shipping and loading
The equipment is located at our yard south of Dallas, Texas. We can assist with shipping arrangements.
Loading is provided at no charge for equipment under 15,000 lb when scheduled in advance. Equipment over 15,000 lb requires a crane, which is arranged and paid for by the buyer.
Payment
Payment in full is required FOB our yard in South Dallas. A verifiable cashier's check is accepted for collection in person. For release to a third-party shipper we require a wire transfer cleared in our account before the equipment leaves the yard.
