Questions buyers ask

What pressure, flow and temperature is it rated for?

This valve is set at 500 PSIG. Flow capacity and temperature rating are not provided in the listing; you'll need to request the certified capacity data sheet from the seller, which should show the orifice designation and rated capacity in SCFM or lb/hr for the specific gas. Anderson Greenwood PVCT valves are typically rated for temperatures from -20°F to 450°F depending on trim and elastomer selection, but the actual rating for this unit should be verified.

What materials are the wetted parts?

The listing specifies TV trim but does not provide complete materials of construction for the body, seat, bellows, or other wetted components. You should request the full material specification from the seller, as the part number 81PSIF88-8 should correspond to a specific material configuration in Anderson Greenwood records. TV trim typically indicates a specific seat and disc material combination, but body material and bellows metallurgy are critical for compatibility assessment.

What should I inspect before putting it into service?

Visually inspect the seat and disc for scoring, corrosion, or deposits that would prevent tight shutoff, and check the bellows for any signs of fatigue cracks or corrosion. Verify that the spring and internal components move freely without binding, and confirm the nameplate set pressure matches your application requirement. Pilot-operated relief valves should be bench tested to verify both opening pressure and reseat pressure, and the pilot system should be disassembled to check the pilot valve seat condition and ensure all vent ports are clear.
