Questions buyers ask
What pressure, flow and temperature is it rated for?
This valve is rated for 1,480 PSIG maximum working pressure with a flow coefficient (Cv) ranging from 6 minimum to 107 maximum and a flow factor (Cf) of 0.75. Temperature rating is not specified in the listing; request the seller provide body material grade and trim metallurgy to determine ASME B16.34 pressure-temperature limits for your service conditions.
What gases is it compatible with, and has it been oxygen cleaned?
The valve is suitable for liquid and gas service, with NACE MR0175 compliance available as an option for sour gas or corrosive environments. No oxygen cleaning certification is mentioned; if you require oxygen service, confirm with the seller whether it has been cleaned to CGA G-4.1 or ASTM G93 standards and request documentation.
What materials are the wetted parts?
The body material is listed as steel, but the specific grade (carbon steel, stainless, etc.) and the trim materials (plug, seat, stem) are not detailed. Request a full materials specification from the seller, particularly if you need corrosion resistance, low-temperature service, or specific alloy compatibility for your process fluid.
What should I inspect before putting it into service?
Verify Class VI shutoff performance with a seat leakage test per ANSI/FCI 70-2, inspect the equal percentage trim for erosion or cavitation damage, and confirm the actuator diaphragm and springs respond correctly across the 6-30 PSIG operating range. Check all raised-face flange surfaces for damage, verify gasket groove condition, stroke the valve through its full travel to detect binding or stem packing issues, and confirm the fail-closed action operates properly on air loss.
